Problem

Hands-on engineering labs typically require students to be physically present with the equipment, which limits access for remote or distance learners.

Undergraduate thesis for the dual Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering degrees at ITAM, titled “Design and Implementation of a Heterogeneous Teleoperation System for Remote Engineering Education.”

Approach

The thesis designed and implemented a teleoperation system allowing engineering lab equipment to be operated remotely, aimed at remote engineering education.
